​Birds of prey are common at Home Farm Marsh. 9 species have been recorded including IUCN Amber listed Ospreys, which are regularly seen flying around the estuary and site, though not nesting.

 ​In the Autumn of 2016, staff from Western Power Distribution gave up their time to install two telegraph poles at the site, close to the estuary. One of them carries a nesting platform, the second a web camera to bring the wonderful bird life of Home Farm Marsh to everyone via the internet.
