The Gaia Trust believes that wildlife conservation alone is not enough, but that people must be engaged and informed in order for biodiversity to be valued and preserved by future generations, and that land can be managed sustainably through changing times.
Through the properties now under our protection in Cornwall and Devon, we work to ensure that the land is appropriately managed in each case, including the active reversion of intensively farmed land. The Gaia Trust’s most accessible properties are Treraven Farm on the Camel Trail at Wadebridge, and Home Farm Marsh on the Tarka Trail near Bideford. The Gaia Trust also owns Chark Moor, part of the Mid Cornwall Moors Project.
